The Connexions Canine Friends « pack » are dogs who are either living at Connexions Centre Canine, or living elsewhere and have been discovered by the trainer in her travels, who require special care and healing.
Here are their stories.
in memory of the dog who inspired me
Our connexions boxer-bernese mix, Anabel, was diagnosed with Liver Cancer at the young age of 7 years, and given two days to live by her vet.
It was because of this unexpected event that I decided to look for ways to find a way to finance the sudden special needs of a very special dog, while
- helping to bring a closer bond between more dogs and their owners
- helping them toward a healthier and happier life
even if it is just from the shear enjoyment of giving and receiving some wonderful products. The hope is that the stores will help others find that magical connection and, while helping the Connexions Canine Friends, will also help others along their path of discovery in natural healing.
Due to the proceeds of people buying through the stores, we were able to get special supplements, diet and remedies to give our Anabel more than an extra month of life — in dog's years that is a true gift! She spent her last days up in the mountains with her family, with much love.
Thank you ... for giving her more time to enjoy her life on this earth with her family and those who loved her.

At one year of age, our beautiful connexions shepherd was diagnosed with Chronic Superficial Keratitis, and is going blind. With the proceeds from the stores, we will be able to continue research, get the best foods, best supplements, medication, buy special sunglasses and much more! Our hope is to stop this from happening.

australian shepherd with seizures
After receiving her rabies vaccine booster at age 9, Sage, our connexions Australian Shepherd, suddenly started to have seizures. Prior to this she lived a healthy, active life competing in Flyball and Disc Dog (Frisbee) tournaments, winning many trophies.
With the proceeds we hope to be able to keep her on her much needed natural diet, medications, supplements and follow up veterinarian visits.

autistic dobermann
Due to a reaction to the vaccinations during her first year of life, our connexions dobermann developed a spectrum disorder, similar to autism in children. With the proceeds from the on-line store connexion, we can offer her the best diet and care, continue in our research, give the extra time required to work with her and ensure minimal stress to help her deal with her disorder. Our hope is that some day, through our care, her condition may be reversed or healed.
She is a very special and sweet dog — with a different view of life than the rest of us. Thank you for helping.
